Sara Sanson, LIMHP, LCSW

Sara Sanson

Sara is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 15 years of experience supporting children, teens, young adults, and families. She is dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with greater steadiness, resilience, and connection, fostering a warm, judgment-free environment where healing and growth can occur.

Her work is grounded in trauma-informed care, with a strong focus on empowering neurodivergent youth, including those with ADHD and autism, to thrive. Sara uses an integrative, individualized approach, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as EMDR, CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, ACT, Circle of Security, and the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT). This allows her to tailor therapy to each client’s unique strengths, needs, and goals.

She also specializes in working with youth athletes and creatives who face high levels of pressure and expectation, helping them build mental toughness, emotional flexibility, and resilience. Through additional training in Dr. Stacy Sims’ Next Gen Course, Sara incorporates insights on the relationship between performance, nutrition, and overall well-being into her work.

Beyond individual therapy, Sara provides trainings, presentations, and consultation for schools, teams, and coaches, as well as clinical supervision for therapists seeking professional growth. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys baking, lifting weights, golfing, and spending time at the lake with loved ones.

Sara is committed to helping individuals and families build resilience, strengthen skills, and move forward with greater confidence and ease.
